How We Chose To Practice NSA In Golden

How We Chose To Practice NSA In Golden

Scott and I met our first week of chiropractic school at Northwestern Health Sciences University.  One of our first dates was studying for an upcoming test for our cadaver lab - not super romantic - but we knew that we both shared a passion for helping others.  We both had pretty incredible stories of why we had chosen chiropractic as our profession.  We dated throughout school and by our third year were engaged and talking about where we would open our practice and what type of practice it would be.  In chiropractic, there are over 200 different techniques  for adjusting the spine.  In school we were learning many different techniques, most of them forceful.  Each approach varies greatly - so why did we choose Network Spinal Analysis (NSA)?

Scott is a rock climber. He is incredibly passionate about rock climbing and in selecting a location to live, well, had to be close to good rock climbing.  On one of our many trips west to look at areas, we traveled through South Dakota.  Each place we stopped, we had a plan to visit several different chiropractors in that town.  While in South Dakota at one of these offices, we experienced our first NSA adjustments.  While we both had great experiences with traditional chiropractic, our first NSA adjustments provided effects we had never experienced with previous care.  We noticed our posture (which was not good from being bent over computers, labs and studying) had shifted, for the first time in months . We felt like we could breathe and even better than that, felt calm and peaceful.

Chiropractic school was like drinking from a fire hydrant - so much information to digest and absorb..  After several years of that with undergrad previous to that, I had gradually felt my body maintaining a chronically stressed state.   I had headaches, sinus issues, constant tension in my shoulders, and had developed digestive issues.  After my first NSA adjustment, for the first time in months, I could feel my mind move into a relaxed state.  Instead of thinking constantly about everything coming up and my long to-do list, I was present.  The sharp chronic pain in my left shoulder was gone.  That night I slept better than I had in years.  I had to know more about NSA.

When we returned to Minnesota to resume school, I found 4 doctors in the area that practice NSA.  I immediately started shadowing and interning with them as well as researching the technique.  A few months later, Scott and I traveled to Denver to attend our first NSA seminar.  This is where our journey  truly began...

Save the date for our NSA: Phases and Stages Class on March 8th

Dr. Leah will delve into the details of what to expect both PHYSICALLY and EMOTIONALLY during NSA care. She dives into the classic tension patterns of the spinal cord, and how each has an emotional perspective that it creates with your physiology. She will touch on why the Doctors make contacts on your spine that start at a distance from the body - a topic called biofields.

Dr. Leah will explore the significance of The 12 Stages of Healing and Somato Respiratory Integration, as well as how it relates to your progression and success in Network Spinal Analysis care.

As you move through NSA care, your body is going through a great amount of neurological reorganization, and the areas of the spine that have been chronically misaligned have stored energy and emotion in the tissues of the body. When these begin to release, your body and life will change….. find out what to expect.
